Basic Policy on Compliance

WELCO will engage in self-discipline by complying with the following policies on compliance, and thoroughly instruct each of our employees to act with constant awareness of compliance.

  1. WELCO will maintain compliance as a fundamental premise of our business operations.
  2. WELCO will, using good sense, act with integrity and comply with laws and regulations as well as other social norms.
  3. WELCO will, using good sense, strive to avoid involvement in any illegal activity or antisocial behavior.
  4. WELCO will engage in honest business activities that are trustworthy to society, while recognizing our corporate social responsibility.

Compliance Code of Conduct

1. Compliance with laws, regulations and rules:

WELCO will act with integrity using good sense based on social norms and business ethics, and comply with domestic and foreign laws and regulations as well as internal rules, in our business activities.

2. Respect for fundamental human rights:

WELCO will respect fundamental human rights as well as individual human rights, diverse values, personalities and the individuality of each person in accordance with our human rights policy, and not engage in any acts that lead to discrimination.

3. No child labor nor forced labor:

WELCO will not engage in any business transaction with countries or companies in which child labor and forced labor are allowed.

4. Ensuring occupational safety and health in the workplace:

WELCO will endeavor to ensure occupational safety and health for our employees and provide a safe and healthy workplace.

5. Environmental conservation:

WELCO will promote conservation of the global environment and recognize the importance of environmental protection and compliance with treaties, laws and regulations related to the environment in all our business activities in accordance with our environmental policy.

6. Fair and free competition:

WELCO will build and maintain relationships of trust with our business partners in order to conduct fair and free competition.

7. Anti-Bribery:

WELCO will promote fair business activities with high ethical standards and will not engage in any act related to bribery.

8. Elimination of relationships with anti-social forces:

WELCO will strive to not have any relationship with anti-social forces and will maintain public trust and execute sound corporate management.

9. Prohibition of conflicts of interest:

WELCO will refrain from conflicts that harm the interests of our company and customers for the sake of our own or third party interests.

10. Proper accounting procedures:

WELCO will conduct proper accounting and tax procedures in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, internal company rules, etc.

11. Internal reporting (whistle-blowing):

WELCO will establish an internal reporting (whistle-blowing) system so that any suspected violation of domestic or foreign laws, regulations or internal company rules can be reported immediately. If a report or consultation is made regarding a suspected violation of domestic or foreign laws, regulations or internal company rules, WELCO will safeguard such reporter’s (whistle-blower’s) rights.

12. Protection of personal information:

WELCO will not use any personal information obtained internally or externally for any purpose other than WELCO’s business purposes. Further, WELCO will strictly manage such information to prevent disclosure to third parties.

13. Management of confidential information:

WELCO acknowledges the importance of confidential information obtained in the course of business and will manage confidential information strictly. Further, WELCO will arrange accordingly so that each of our employees, upon retirement from employment with our company, shall not disclose to any third party any confidential information of our company obtained during the period while he or she was employed.
